Mortgage Builder Promotes Kelli Himebaugh to Newly Created Client-focused Position

As loan origination software company breaks sales records, it invests further in customer service
Southfield, MI, August 30, 2010 – Mortgage Builder, a leader in loan origination software (LOS) technology for the mortgage industry, has created the new client-focused position of Vice President, Client Development to further invest in customer service as the company continues its record-breaking growth streak. The position was designed for Kelli Himebaugh, previously Mortgage Builder’s sales manager for the western United States, and is a departure from the traditional sales role in many technology companies. As vice president for client development, Ms. Himebaugh will work with new clients all the way from product demonstration through the training and implementation phases of the sales cycle.
Bill Mitchell, Mortgage Builder’s vice president for sales, explains the new approach to client development. “The last thirty -six months have seen Mortgage Builder break every sales record in the company’s history. As we grow, we want to make sure to keep investing in customer service, which has long been part of the Mortgage Builder DNA,” Mitchell says. “In her new role, which includes working as a liaison to sales and operations, and specifically as one of the product experts at Mortgage Builder, Kelli will be involved starting with the hands-on product demonstration, providing continuity and expertise to make it as smooth as possible for clients as they move forward with Mortgage Builder,” he states. “Kelli will be the glue for Sales and Operations that keeps all the parts in place and functioning, and we’ll bypass the typical hand-off that clients would prefer to avoid by focusing instead on a proactive hand-holding approach.”
Mitchell also notes that having an experienced, industry-savvy sales person working directly on implementations, while unusual in this industry, is really very logical. “There’s a misconception that technology implementations are more about bits, bytes and technical issues than they are about people,” he observes. “Experience has shown us this really isn’t true. Our customer service is renowned among mortgage lenders because we have never lost sight of the fact that it is a people business,” he says. “Kelli will help us do an even better job because of her people skills as well as her extensive business knowledge.” Mitchell adds that the company will be looking to fill Ms. Himebaugh’s former position as sales manager in the western United States.
